Cromford Fly Fishers Club lead the way in clearing the Lea Road and adjacent river bank of litter.
Following a request from the chair of Cromford Parish Council, Barbara Bowman to the head Bailiff of the Cromford Fly Fishers Club John Pass to help with a litterpick from Cromford Bridge to High Peak Junction, John arranged for 27 members of the club to attend to aid the event along with 9 Parish councillors and friends.
The fishing club picked up the cost of the rubbish removal, saving both council and rate payers the expense of disposal.
It was a satisfying day with good humour coupled with hard work. Many thanks to those that turned out to help
