Friday 20th June:
The traditional Engine Pull from the Community Centre to The Bell Inn up Cromford Hill
Last year, Cromford dads did it... this year, Cromford mums will have the honour of pulling the engine!
No need to register to take part, just turn up on the day and start pulling. Or just watch the fun
(all participants do so at their own risk).
There will be a BBQ, live music, other entertainments at both the Community Centre and The Bell Inn.
Refreshments on offer at The Institute - the perfect watching place, halfway up the hill
The engine pull will be followed by the 1st draw of Celebrating Cromford 200 club (prize money £100 for the 1st draw, £50 monthly prize afterwards, numbers cost £12 each for the whole year, and are on sale at The Boat Inn).
Saturday 21st June:
CROMFORD SCHOOL FAIR - NORTH ST(10am to 1pm) - games, stalls, refreshments.
Killer Kanter Fell race (with a Junior race) departing at 11:00am in front of the school
(enrol on the day from 10:00am )
Fairground rides on the Market Place all day :10am to 4pm
Exhibition of local school children’s poems: free at the Methodist Church (where music will be played all week-end by anyone who wishes to entertain!

Meerkats and More’ Animal Experience: live animal handling including python & merrkats
free on Scarthin promenade from 1 to 4pm
Model Plane demonstration - down on Cromford Meadows from 11
Hands on Science : science in action, free at the Celebrating Cromford stall on Scarthin from 1 to 3pm
Free Magic Show at the Greyhound at 3pm
Traditional Duck Race on the River Derwent river at 4pm, down at Cromford Meadows
Decorated Duck judging at 12:30pm, in the marquee on Scarthin
Model Railway Exhibition - Community Centre (there is an admission fee)
Geocaching - pick up a form on the Celebrating Cromford stall, from the Methodist Church or download from this site...
Model Planes - down on the meadows, 11 am onwards
Gun dogs demonstration - 12 noon Cromford Meadows

The Green Gecko Company: circus act from 12 to 4pm on Scarthin, with free workshop at 2pm in the marquee, open to all
Exhibition of local school children’s poems: free at the Methodist Church (where music will be played all week-end by anyone who wishes to entertain!
