Batman opened the Hill Pull this year, to the accompaniment of Ian Page's unique MultiPhase disco.
Many of the pullers chose to take part in fancy dress based on characters in books including a young Suffragette (who won first prize), Alice and the Mad Hatter, Goldilocks, Nick Scarthin and others - all gratefully received book tokens kindly donated by Scarthin Books

This year Cromford showed their support for Scarthin Books who had been in need of support earlier in the year; the veteran Scarthin book van and driver were hauled up The Hill were refreshments were taken at The Bell Inn, accompanied by excellent live music.
