The Celebrating Cromford Lucky Numbers draw exists to assist fundraising for the Celebrating Cromford Festival
The draw is simple - every participant has the chance to win in a monthly draw.
Members must be over 16 to join and pay by cash, cheque (must be cleared before draw) or standing order
There is no upper limit to the number of subscribers
Entry tickets are £1 per month and a minimum of £50 per month will paid out as a prize
The club is open to anyone
Winning numbers will be posted on this website and in Cromford Post Office, & The Boat Inn
RULES
1 The name of the draw is the Celebrating Cromford Lucky Numbers Draw ("The Lottery") regardless of the number of shares
2 The purpose of the Lottery is to raise funds for the sole benefit of the Celebrating Cromford Festival and associated Celebrating Cromford events
3 The Lottery will be administered by a minimum of at least 2 people, one of whom will be the Treasurer of the Celebrated Cromford Committee, the other will be the named Promoter (currently John Pass)
4 A minimum of £50 per month will be paid out in prizes
5 The Lottery runs continuously and the monthly draw will either be made in The Boat Inn or at the monthly Celebrating Cromford meeting and precise time and date will be announced in advance.
The decision as to which location for any monthly draw to be made by the Promoter.
In either case the Promoter will be responsible for the physical draw and ensuring sufficient witnesses are present to ensure the fairness of that draw.
6 Irrespective of where the draw is made, the results of the monthly draw will be posted on the Celebrating Cromford website and a historic record kept on that site using information provided by the Promoter.
The Promoter will keep separate paper records of the results.
Flyers announcing the result will be placed in a variety of public locations around Cromford.
7 The Lottery is open to anyone aged 16 or over
8 A purchaser of a share (number) becomes a participant in the Lottery
9 Participants are entitle to hold any number of shares
10 The number of shares in the Lottery shall be unlimited and each share will be allocated a unique number, receipts may be issued on request
11 A written and electronic record will be kept of all transactions and will be made available for inspection by anyone authorised by the Celebrating Cromford Committee to do so. Such records must match the actual funds held at that time
12 The subscription for each share is £1 per month, payable in advance by the agreed payment methods
13 A maximum of 12 months in advance is payable in a single transaction .
14 A minimum of 12 months must be purchased in advance at any one time.
15 To qualify for any jackpot draw a member must have paid 12 months subscription otherwise they will only be eligible for the monthly £50 monthly draw prizes
16 The monthly draw will be done is such a way deemed appropriate by the Promoter so as to ensure the number drawn is made at random
17 Participants are encouraged to attend the draw, which should be done in full sight and view of either the attendees of a Celebrating Cromford meeting or members of the public in The Boat Inn.
18 Winners will be paid by cheque or cash. If they are not present at the draw, a cheque will be sent to the last known address held by the Promoter. If is the responsibility of the participant to advise the Promoter of any change of address.
19 Any prize cheque not cashed within 6 months will be deemed a donation to Celebrating Cromford
20 The Promoter will not pay a prize to any participant other than the purchaser of a winning share
21 No lottery participant will be included in the draw if the subscription has not been received; it is the responsibility of each participant to make sure they have paid their subscription. The Promoter reserves the right to reallocate any number where payment has not been received
22 Participants can cancel their entry in the Lottery at any time by giving one months notice to the Promoter
23 If the Celebrating Cromford committee decides to end the Lottery they will give one months notice to all participants
24 Under no circumstances will subscriptions be refunded
25 The Promoter will determine any dispute. Should this prove unsatisfactory then an appeal may be made to the Chairman of the Celebrating Cromford committee whose decision will be final
26 The Lottery is a Small Society Lottery run under the provisions of the Gambling Act Section 19
27 If for any reason the Promoter is unable to continue the 200 Club for a minimum period of 1 month from the date of the last draw, then the Treasurer of the Celebrating Cromford committee, or the committee’s nominated representative, will take over the running of the 200 Club either in an intermediate or permanent capacity.
28 The Celebrating Cromford committee may amend or vary the rules at any time. The current rules are those on this website. Changes to rules will be announced at Celebrating Cromford meetings and minuted.
